Mission Types and Scanning on Ceres, Phobos, Saturn, Sedna, and Uranus
Finding and Scanning Celestials
In this guide, we will explore the various mission types and scanning mechanics available on five celestial bodies in the Warframe universe: Ceres, Phobos, Saturn, Sedna, and Uranus.
Mission Types
Each celestial body offers unique mission types with different objectives and rewards:
- ASSASSINATION: Eliminate a specific high-value target.
- CAPTURE: Secure and hold a Grineer or Corpus operative.
- DEFENSE: Protect a specific objective from waves of enemies.
- EXTERMINATION: Eliminate all enemies in a given area.
- HIVE: Destroy an Infested hive and its defenders.
- INTERCEPTION: Intercept enemy data transmissions and prevent their completion.
- SABOTAGE: Disable enemy machinery or destroy vital infrastructure.
- SURVIVAL: Survive against endless waves of enemies until extraction.
Scanning
In addition to mission objectives, players can also engage in Codex scanning on these celestial bodies. Scanning cephalon fragments, enemy units, and environmental objects allows players to expand their Codex and earn Mastery Points.
To scan, equip a Codex Scanner and approach the target. Hold down the scan button until the progress bar completes. Scan bonuses can increase the scan rate and Codex rewards.
Planet-Specific Mission Types and Scanning
Each celestial body has its own unique mission types and scanning targets:
- CERES: Infestation-themed missions with a focus on Hive and Defense.
- PHOBOS: Grineer-controlled missions with a high spawn rate for Codex scans.
- SATURN: Both Grineer and Corpus missions with notable CASSINI CAPTURE Grineer missions.
- SEDNA: Infested-dominated missions with challenging Survival and Interception.
- URANUS: Corpus-dominated missions with a focus on Defense and Mobile Defense.
