The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the 2024 NBA Finals after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-98 in Game 3 on Wednesday night. Despite a spirited comeback attempt by the Mavericks, Boston held on to secure the crucial victory on their home court.
The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who finished with a game-high 30 points and 12 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 25 points, while Marcus Smart contributed 21 points and 8 assists. For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic put up a valiant effort with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, but it was not enough to overcome the Celtics' balanced attack.
With the victory, the Celtics are now just two wins away from securing their 18th NBA championship. Game 4 of the series is scheduled to take place in Boston on Friday night.
